## Description

**Guilds** were created to offer an RPG-type system to servers. It was inspired by players like you who enjoy creating a fun, exciting, and adventurous environment for your server. **Guilds** allow players to join interactive groups of other players, make their own communities on your server, and have a general fun time!

## **Features**

* Per-Guild Hierarchy (Roles)
* Tiers (Includes perks of your choosing)
* Claims (via WorldGuard)
* Banks
* Vaults (As many as your choose!)
* Buffs
* Per-Guild Chat
* Wars (via Arenas that you make)
* Multilingual
* **Tons** of GUIs!
* JSON + MySQL + SQLite support!

## Required Dependencies

Guilds will not start without these three. If any of them is missing, the plugin disables itself on startup and tells you which one it could not find.

* [Vault](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/34315/)
* An economy plugin, reached through Vault. [EssentialsX](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/9089/) and [TheNewEconomy](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/7805/) both work.
* A permissions plugin, reached through Vault. [LuckPerms](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/28140/) works well.

## Optional Dependencies

These add features. Guilds runs fine without them.

* [WorldGuard](https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/worldguard) enables land claims. Without it the claim commands do nothing.
* [PlaceholderAPI](https://placeholderapi.com) enables the `%guilds_*%` placeholders. Without it they resolve to an empty string.
* [Essentials](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/9089/) is what connects your economy and permissions plugins to Vault.

The [Installation](/glares-plugins/guilds/installation.md) page covers setup.

## Supported Platforms

* Spigot
* Paper

CatServer is reported to work but is untested and not officially supported. The same goes for cracked servers: some people run Guilds on them, but you should expect problems.

## Translations

In **Guilds**, we always try to support as many languages as we can in order to support more people! The plugin currently supports 29 languages, but not all of them are always up-to-date on the translations. If you speak a language fluently other than English and are interested in translating, please join our [discord](https://helpch.at/discord) and let us know so that we can give you information on how to do that!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://wiki.helpch.at/glares-plugins/guilds.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
